Established in Guardamar del Segura for more than 10 years, the family of La Tahona de Carmen told us about the main inconveniences they encountered in their daily work, as well as their desire to open up to the outside and expand their terrace and create a unified and attractive customer service area.

We proposed a radically different layout. Composed of a central volume from which a large 20-metre long continuous bar is organised concentrically to house and organise the different uses and services for customers.

This new design also incorporates the opening of three new large windows that erase the limits between inside-outside, breaking up the façade only into glazed porticoes.

We opted to create a calm Mediterranean atmosphere, with white as the protagonist and accompanied by the warmth of the wood cladding and the natural fibres of the lamps. We added a touch of personality by using terracotta upholstery for the bench and the walls leading to the toilets.
