Based on a two-storey detached house between party walls, this unique project narrates the adaptation of the architecture to the passage of time and the needs of its users.

From its original conception, the structure and installations of this house were developed and executed to cater for the maximum capacity of dwellings and heights permitted by the geometry of the site and the urban planning regulations, thinking that the needs of the family could change and thus leaving the door open to whatever the future might bring.

In this project we are dealing with the transformation of a two-storey single-family dwelling (day and night) into a multi-family building with two dwellings, one of them a duplex, including a two-storey extension.

Taking advantage of the fact that there are still some unbuilt openings in the front of the buildings on the parallel streets and their east orientation, it was decided to place the day area on the top floor of the duplex and thus enjoy the views of the pine forest of the Reina Sofía park.
